#KickBackAgainstBullying Sneaker drive
Held during Suicide Awareness month. Our mission is to provide children within our respective communities who are in unfortunate circumstances. Also, to raise awareness around mental health and self worth. Statistics show there are children in the school system who are homeless or live in shelters. By providing them with socks, gently worn or new sneakers we can encourage confidence and make a stride against bullying. As we help our children feel valued and reassure them that they too are important and loved.
We have our community nominate a child and have them send a Dear Santa letter. We then spread holiday cheer and provide the child’s Christmas request.
During these uncertain times we noticed food security has been an issue for many and decided to take initiative. We were proactive in being solution oriented and providing social excellence by organizing a food distribution in Harlem to those in need.
